Amethyst is a purple variation of Quartz which is due to irradiation and iron impurities in the stone. It is a Semiprecious Stone and is the traditional birthstone of February.

We offer several varieties of Amethyst.  Picture 1 is the micro faceted version with 4 stones to a headpin.  The other pictures show a variety of sizes and they are faceted and a very deep violet purple.
